Local Businesses Support Arts Festival

-Wilsonville, Oregon- The Wilsonville Festival of Arts is celebrating its 5th Anniversary on Saturday, May 15th at Town Center Park, thanks in part to the generous support of West Coast Bank (Deanne Forsyth, Branch Manager) and State Farm Insurance (Jay Puppo, Christi Uselman). These companies will be presenting the Performing Arts Pavilion and Student Gallery, respectively. Performing arts will include musicians, dancers, and storytellers, while the Student Gallery will house exhibits from Wilsonville High School students. When asked why she wanted to sponsor the event, Deanne said, "West Coast Bank and its employees are committed to the communities we serve. Our customers are our neighbors. I have grandchildren in the school district, and family and long-time friends here." Likewise, Jay and Christi "believe in supporting local talent, the arts movement in Wilsonville, and are looking forward to meeting old and new friends at the Festival". Wilsonville Chamber Of Commerce Leads By Example, Hosting Annual Art Festival and Kicking Off Festival's Sponsorship Drive

Wilsonville, Oregon –– January 2, 2004 ˆ The Chamber of Commerce´s Board of Directors accepted the critical role of Presenting Sponsor (host) for the Wilsonville Festival of Arts on May 15, 2004. The Chamber actively promotes the prosperity and general welfare of member businesses, the community of Wilsonville and the surrounding area. The Clackamas County Visitors Center is centrally located at Town Center Park, and is large enough to host an intimate indoor performing space and visual exhibits. Tents and open space adjacent to the building will be used to house a larger entertainment stage, more visual art exhibits, and a food court.

The Chamber and Clackamas County Visitors Center's decision to host the annual spring arts celebration kicks off the Festival's sponsorship drive. Sponsorship opportunities are available to businesses wishing to gain wider exposure into Wilsonville and surrounding communities, and are tailored to best represent each business interests. For example, a financial institution could sponsor the outdoor stage, reinforcing a commitment to performance. The arts festival appeals to all ages of area residents and visitors, and showcases local performing, visual and literary talent from student, community, and professional artists. Wilsonville lacks a permanent physical home for its artists, and the arts council graciously appreciates the Chamber's presenting sponsorship. .
